Supporters and Donors Attend Single Moms Planet’s Holiday Fundraiser

Nearly 100 people and luminaries attended the Single Moms Planet Soiree and Fundraiser held on Dec. 7 at Lucid Motors in Beverly Hills.

“I’m very thankful to all of our donors and supporters for making this event so successful,” said Neferteri Plessy, founder of Single Moms Planet, an organization that assists single mothers and their children. “We are thankful to all who attended and our amazing speakers who shared their unique vision and business savvy with our audience.”

“With our current economic climate and the need for community, we wanted the end-of-the-year event to be memorable with the help of our many partners and friends,” said Single Moms Planet Co-Founder Cole Patterson. “As our biggest holiday fundraiser, the Soiree will allow us to share our initiatives for supporting working single moms needing affordable childcare and more.”

Among those attending were actresses Jessica Hall, Marketa Janska, Elan Carter-Price, Trace Austin, Serria Tawan, and many others. The event also featured live music, food and refreshments provided by Vicey Bites.

The event featured Lakers Youth Foundation Director Kiesha Nix. sports agent Savannah Foster of Athletes First, the number 1 sports agency; and Wealth Manager Stasia Washington of Lido who were part of a panel discussion moderated by attorney/TV personality Jesyka Harris and hosted by Travis Lubinsky, CEO of Flex Watches.

Single Moms Planet was founded by Plessy, media mentor and women in business activist, and Patterson, film director, and beauty educator who is CEO of Cole Skincare For Men. Single Moms Planet is a non-profit organization that provides business and media coaching to working single mothers through a variety of programs, training, and mentorship to assist with financial literacy and generational advancement. The 34-year-old, who gave birth to her first child just nine months ago, captivated social media users around the globe when she was seen tenderly cradling her tummy on stage at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, as the Philadelphia Eagles took on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Shortly after her spectacular display of strength and artistry, a spokesperson for the artist confirmed her pregnancy news. In her quest to take on this enormous task, the musician said motherhood had been a source of newfound courage and confidence.

The NFL’s De’Vondre Campbell Donates Gifts to Single Parent Families

GREEN BAY, Wisc. – Green Bay Packers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell brought some Christmas spirit to local families by donating more than $50,000 in gifts to single parents ahead of the holiday last week.

The NFL Players Association named Campbell their Community MVP for Week 16 thanks to the donation and his efforts to brighten the lives of residents in Green Bay and Minnesota, where he played college football.

The All-Pro linebacker made the donation behalf of his namesake De’Vondre Campbell Family Youth Foundation, as part of its Adopt-A-Family program. Each year, the organization provides assistance to families during the holidays, but this year, Campbell sought out single-parent households with this newest initiative.

“It’s not just for the kids, it’s for the parents and their guardians,” Campbell explained in the NFLPA’s announcement of his Week 16 award. “If we can help in this small way to relieve stress, help with a hardship and change a life, we are blessed to do it.”

Campbell with other volunteers surprised 25 single parents, foster care families and others facing hardship by visiting them and providing unique presents that included a new car, a washer/dryer system and more.

As the most recent winner of the Community MVP Award, Campbell will receive a $10,000 donation to his charity or a foundation to assist the local community, courtesy of the NFLPA. Moreover, he will also be eligible to win the Alan Page Community Award at the end of the season, which is the highest honor the players association can bestow on one of its members.

Campbell has been active with local communities including Green Bay, Minnesota, and his hometown of Ft. Myers, Florida. His annual football camp in Ft. Myers is a mainstay in the Florida community going back to his early days of playing football.

Financial experts shared their secrets and financial strategies with single mothers when Single Moms Planet hosted the “Smart Mommy, Smart Money” financial seminar on Saturday, January 25, 2020.

The community event was held at The Riveter, 4505 Glencoe Ave, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292. The conference was sponsored by Girl Talk, Andrea’s Healthy Kitchen, Women with Vision International, Best Seller In A Weekend, Cole Skincare for Men and Advantage Real Estate.

The event featured two panel discussions on financial wellness to improve the lives of women and their children in order to explore the importance of generational wealth building and business development.

“Smart Mommy, Smart Money” opened with a Fireside Chat with women’s leadership and financial abundance coach Alicia Dunams. Besides coaching thousands of women and hosting scores of seminars around the country, she is the author of “I Get To: How Using the Right Words Can Radically Transform Your Life, Relationships and Business,” as well as “Goal Digger” and others. Following the presentation there was a panel discussion on creating generational wealth in the family while making smart financial decisions. A second panel followed which focused on creating multiple streams of income in a digital world, while keeping your life, business and family strong, Multi Media Mama panel featured Travis Lubinsky, founder of Flex Watches; Jessica Hall, TV personality, influencer and founder of BB Lifestyle skincare brand; Jen Betts, CEO and founder of Innovative PR; and Ana Pompa, CEO and founder of Find Sisterhood, a firm that connects women through an app to build better relationships and find solutions to various problems. Single Moms Planet’s holiday “Wine & Shine” fundraiser on December 6th, raised $7,000 for our “Smart Mommy Smart Money” empowerment conference launching January 25, 2020.

Guests enjoyed the delicious food prepared by Chef Ameera, the desserts prepared by Sweet Laurel, the wine from Michael Sullberg Wines, the mixed drinks curated by Pomp and Whimsy, and the water from Hint. Thank you Breegan Jane, our board member and HGTV designer, for opening up her beautiful home to us for the event, and Alicia Dunams, CEO of Bestseller in a Weekend, for being the emcee of the fundraising program.
